Description 

The Ultrasonic Flow Meter PCE-TDS 100H is a portable and easy-to-use handheld device that is designed to measure the flow speed of liquids in metal, plastic, and rubber pipes and tubes. With a diameter range of 57–720 mm (about 2–28 in.), this clamp-on flow meter offers high accuracy without causing any damage to the pipe or tube.

This versatile ultrasonic flow meter is perfect for use across various industries, including oil and gas, water and wastewater, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, metals and mining, pulp and paper, power, and HVACR. It comes equipped with velcro-strap clamps that make it easy to move the electroacoustic transducers, ensuring convenient operation and increased efficiency.

The flow rate is calculated using the transit-time principle, with the measured velocity being determined by the run time of the ultrasonic signal in the flow direction and against the flow direction, the length of the ultrasonic wave, and the ultrasonic signal angle to the flow. However, pipes must be full, with no bubbles or particles, for accurate measurements.

For data transfer to a computer, the SOFT-PCE-TDS software is needed, which is sold separately. Each PCE-TDS series meter is made in Germany by PCE Instruments and calibrated at the factory, ensuring accuracy and reliability. However, the measured values depend on various factors such as the shape, material, and coating of the pipe, the type, temperature, and speed of the medium, and the type of sensor and measuring method.
