Description
The PCE-TDS 100HMHS flow meter is an accurate and reliable portable measuring system that can quickly determine flow rates in pipelines. This device is ideal for control measurements or retrofitting, as it is easy to install without interrupting the process. It operates on the transit time difference method, measuring the time difference between sending and receiving short ultrasonic pulses through the fluid in the pipe.
The Pizo effect is utilized to send and receive these pulses via electro-acoustic transducers. The sensors are placed on the pipe without damaging it, and held in place with a cable tie. The flow rate is then displayed on the screen in a short amount of time. The flow meter is simple to understand in terms of how it measures, taking less time to measure a pipe at an angle with the flow than straight up against it.
This flow meter can be used to measure liquids such as acetate, alcohol, ammonia, and kerosene in pipes made of metal, plastic, or rubber. It is maintenance-free, has no moving parts or pressure loss, and is wear-free. Its portability makes it a great device for control measurements and is easy to construct.
It's important to note that to transfer data to a computer, the SOFT-PCE-TDS software is required, which is sold separately.
